Our first PostCode lottery win!
Our grateful thanks to Ian Astle who generously offered to enter CMGC into the PostCode Lottery and every week shells out his own money on our behalf. This morning Ian handed me our first win, a ten pound note.
Thank you Ian. Let's hope NG9 5AE soon pops up as a big winner!

Sally announced as new catering service provider
Many of you are already aware that with effect from Friday 1st December, SallyAnne Hobson will be taking over as the club's new catering service provider.
Sally comes with a wealth of catering experience, latterly managing the catering services for Derby Grammar School where she and her team of 6 staff served 550 plates of homecooked food each day.
During the negotiation stages for the Supplier Agreement, Sally impressed us with her passion to grow the good work that Nick has put into the club and to provide good quality service offerings that will attract new diners into the clubhouse.
Sally's first day will be Friday 1st December. She already has in place ideas for her debut catering and members should keep an eye open around the notice boards to discover what she plans on providing.
Sally is pictured here with our Captain just after contract signature and I hope you will all join me in formally welcoming Sally to the club at the beginning of December.

Clubhouse re-wiring disruption
Week commencing 16 October we will be having work done to the clubhouse electrical system. This work is essential in order for us to comply with insurance requirements.
This work will cause a degree of disruption, throughout the week, to catering and bar facilities as well as clubhouse heating and lighting although we do not intend closing any services. We will do everything we can to ensure any inconvenience is kept to a minimum and your patience will be greatly appreciated.
