Captain's Welcome Message

 May I welcome all members and visitors to a new year at Chilwell Manor Golf Club.

My thanks go to Phil Vincent for offering me the opportunity to be his Vice Captain during 2009 - it has been an experience to savour !

I now have the honour of being your Club Captain for 2010, along with the Ladies' Captain, Vivien Smart.

After being the County Course for 2009, we can now return to our normal schedule of events for 2010, and further enjoy the ever improving aspects of our course.  Many thanks to Alan Roberts and the Match Team, and Jack Prescott II and the Greens Staff.

Congratulations also have to go to David Elliott in recognition of his achievements during 2009.  May you continue again this year Trigg.

Vivien and I are also looking forward to the continuing success of our social events, which I hope more of our members and their guests will support and enjoy.

We also have two major sporting events this year - the Football World Cup (June/July), and the Ryder Cup (October).  I hope that you will enjoy watching both events with your friends in the Clubhouse.
